December Date Night

With only 6 days until Christmas it's the perfect time to get our there and see some lights! My boyfriend and I have gone light hunting for 4 nights these past two weeks and we've found some pretty spectacular lights! While my picture taking is not that great as we are driving down the road hot cocoa in hand, it should give you all the more reason to get out there and see them for yourself!

First we went by North Ridge Lane off Citrona, Then we headed downtown to look at some of the B&B's and to grab some of the amazing hot chocolate from Fantastic Fudge. If you haven't yet experienced this you need to go tonight! A cup of hot milk with a huge chocolate spoon to swirl around, it's delish!

Last night we went for a ride around Yulee to find some good lights. Timber Creek just past the interstate headed toward Callahan has some wonderful light displays! You can't really make a wrong turn in this neighborhood filled with Christmas cheer! There is one house with the lights that dance to music, and another that plays Christmas music outside the house! I would say that this neighborhood is a must while you're out light hunting!

Earlier this week we headed into Jacksonville to hunt for light displays! We found this spectacular one off Yellow Bluff on Foxwood Height Circle!

We also heard the tree at the landing was pretty good so we went down to see it! I'm not a big fan of the landing, I think so much more could be done with it, but the tree was pretty spectacular!

If you really want to see some wonderful lights head over to St. Augustine for their annual Nights of Lights! We go every year and always love it! Take a ride on the Holly Jolly Trolly and you'll get glasses that turn all the lights into snowflakes!

I have to give a shout out to the local restaurants we dinned at three of the nights! Last night we ate at Willie Jewell's BBQ in Yulee which is one of my favorites for BBQ. Reasonable prices and hearty portions. Not to mention the sauces are delish! I always get the turkey sandwich and it is always tender and juicy!

We also ate at Pate Sucree a few nights ago. It's a new restaurant on N 2nd St. in Downtown Fernandina. The food is good and the prices are better!

While in St. Augustine for the Nights of Lights we ate at my favorite restaurant in the area, Cellar 6. This is one of my favorite restaurants in St. Aug. They have yummie martinis and the food is always delish!

Christmas is almost here so instead of staying cooped up in the house get out there and explore the beautiful decorations! If you really want to see some good lights get serious about it and go to The Osborne Family Spectacle of  Dancing Lights at Disney's Hollywood Studios. It is my absolute fav and we go every single year!
